When Texas Hospital Association (THA) and Texas Auto Dealers Association (TADA) were approached by its development arm (Development 2000) with the prospect of constructing a nine-story masonry building to house each respective association in downtown Austin, they each jumped at the chance. THA’s 40,000 sq. ft. two-level interior build-out nicely echoes its member-accessible mission set out by THA. The 7th Floor is the main floor that greets visitors to THA and its partners, HealthShare and Texas Healthcare Trustees that are housed on the 6th floor. Executive conference rooms are stacked, anchoring the northeast corner of the building to take full advantage of the magnificent views of the capitol. Clerestory windows and multiple panes of sidelights fully capture the natural light deeper into the core from all four-sides of the building.
