Schreiner University’s Mountaineer Fitness Center is sited at the center of the existing sports facilities and fields, designed for future Gym expansion to the east. The distinct architectural ambience drawn from the campus is emulated at the Fitness Center – high pitched standing seam metal roofs, Schreiner red brick and cast stone headers with a cast stone building base. The design repeats the dark bronze storefronts and windows while proudly displaying the Schreiner University crest, carved in cast stone at both the west and south entrances. The open, vaulted lobby is spacious and inviting, providing a roomy gathering area for racquet ball viewing and University displays. A sky-lit Lobby juncture, flooded with natural daylight, provides a resting area before continuing to the coaches’ wing, the weight room and the medical area. The weight room and rehab area can be accessed directly from the athletic fields for immediate use.
