The Hyperbaric Care Facility was a new wound treatment center, complete with exam rooms, offices, and support for two hyperbaric chambers. The facility was designed within an existing office building adjacent to St. David’s South Austin Hospital and the design team worked diligently to transform the office building into a suitable space for one of the largest single patient hyperbaric chambers in Central Texas. The design team designed a pit to be excavated to allow access to the equipment from beneath, achieving the requirements needed for access while also maintaining the existing ceiling height.
