GS&C can provide sustainable services to its clients in two broad and distinct areas: projects in which GS&C is the prime architect; and sustainability can be an integral component of the project, or projects in which GS&C is a consultant to the Owner and is not the architect-of-record.
It is recommended that clients who wish to pursue sustainable design should initiate the effort with commencement of the project and maintain the effort throughout the design, documentation, construction and commission/certification phases. GS&C is qualified in services for both the Austin Green Building Program and with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® (LEED) Program to incorporate sustainable, energy efficient designs.
