Office Building
Austin, Texas

Graeber, Simmons & Cowan responded to its growth needs by designing a new building for our own occupancy.

The building was designed utilizing three split-level floor plates on opposite sides of an atrium. The atrium is naturally lit by a continuous row of clerestory windows that are oriented to the east and west. The plan for each floor was dictated by the goal to create a range of spaces facilitating interaction and community. Glazed stairways on either end of the building promote interaction of our team by allowing for views into the atrium and connection by interior walkways. The majority of office space provides views outward and exposure to natural daylight. The workspaces are knit together to form support for team communication which then necessitates numerous private conference areas adjacent to these workspaces. Acoustically private spaces are generally provided with interior glass walls allowing light and visual access to the outside.
