In the advanced technology industry, Central Texas has become well known as a premier location for technology development facilities. GS&C has been involved in this growing industry since the mid-1980s, and has been instrumental in drawing major industry leaders to the area through collaboration with the State of Texas, the Texas Technology Initiative and the City of Austin.

Beginning in the 1980s with the planning and design of SEMATECH’s Austin facility, GS&C has planned and designed numerous facilities and campuses for technology-based companies of all sizes. Some of our clients include: Motorola/Freescale, Advanced Micro Devices, Applied Materials and Intel. GS&C also provides leading design for Mission-Critical Facilities and Data Centers for clients of all types. We find that these industries are very closely related, and as such, our experience has a broad span.

These types of projects are extremely utility-intensive and require close attention be paid to the design and integration of building systems. In order to provide this design service responsibly, GS&C has full-time LEED^® Accredited Professionals on staff and fully embraces LEED^® concepts as an integral part of the design process. We also offer LEED^® Building Certification services for all of our project types.
